over excitement of DJ remix made a nightclub in Tunis to be shutdown 

A   nightclub has been shut down after a DJ caused fury with a remix of the Muslim call to prayer.

The news was widely shared on social media of the dance remix being played at the Orbit Festival in the north-east coastal town of Nabeul.

An investigation has been organised into the incident, with Mnaouar Ouertani, the town’s governor, telling AFP the club was closed until further notice.

He said the  Tunisian club’s manager had been incarcerated for violation against morals and public outrage against modesty.


He said he will prevent attacks against religious feelings and what is deemed to be sacred

Orbit Festival tendered their apologies for the incident in a Facebook post  stating that the DJ did not know it might offend people from a Muslim country.


DJ Dax J offered his sincere apologies to anyone who may have been offended by the music.He said it was never his intention to upset or offend anybody.



It was also gathered from a solid source, this bear in chains at a 'circus' club night has also ignited outrage.
